Homalomena Rub Maggy is a tropical plant known for its striking dark green and bronze leaves with deep maroon undersides.

It can grow up to 60 cm (24 inches) tall and 30 cm (12 inches) wide. It typically forms a clump of upright stems that produce leaves in a rosette pattern.

Care instructions:

  • Homalomena Rub Maggy prefers bright, indirect light but can tolerate low light conditions.
  • It grows best in well-draining soil that is kept consistently moist but not waterlogged.
  • Water the plant when the top 2-3 cm (1 inch) of soil feels dry to the touch.
  • Homalomena Rub Maggy prefers temperatures between 18-26°C (64-79°F) and high humidity levels.
  • It should be fertilized every 2-4 weeks during the growing season with a balanced, water-soluble fertilizer.
  • The plant should be pruned regularly to remove any dead or yellowing leaves and to encourage bushy growth.
  • Homalomena Rub Maggy is generally pest and disease resistant but can occasionally be affected by spider mites or mealybugs.

Propagation:

  • Homalomena Rub Maggy can be propagated by division.
  • Gently separate the plant into smaller sections and plant each section in its own pot.
  • It's best to do this during the growing season when the plant is actively producing new growth.
