Care Instructions:

  • Yucca prefers bright, direct sunlight and well-draining soil.
  • It is drought-tolerant and does not require frequent watering. Water only when the soil is dry to the touch, and allow the soil to dry out between watering.
  • Yucca is a slow-growing plant and does not require frequent fertilization. Fertilize sparingly with a balanced fertilizer during the growing season.
  • The plant can tolerate a wide range of temperatures, but prefers warm temperatures between 18-24°C (65-75°F).
  • Yucca is generally pest and disease-resistant, but can occasionally be affected by spider mites or mealybugs.
  • The plant can grow quite tall, so pruning may be necessary to maintain its size and shape.

Propagation:

  • Yucca can be propagated by stem cuttings or by seed.
  • To propagate by stem cuttings, select a healthy stem and cut it at a 45-degree angle. Allow the cutting to dry out for a day or two, then plant it in well-draining soil and water thoroughly.
  • To propagate by seed, sow the seeds in well-draining soil and keep them moist and warm, ideally between 21-24°C (70-75°F). Germination may take several weeks to several months.
